We are Wingspan Innovative Technologies, also known as WIT. The abbreviation ‘WIT’ is more than just our acronym, it’s an English term that stands for the capacity for inventive thought and quick understanding. This encapsulates our vision of creating a vibrant community that enables learners, who we affectionately refer to as WIT-izens, to develop their interests and acquire essential skills.
As an EdTech NGO based in Tanzania, we leverage the latest advancements in AI technology to craft high-quality skills development learning experiences. Our mission is to empower learners, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in a fast-paced, digitally evolving world.
Our approach involves harnessing the power of the latest Education Technology (EdTech) tools to deliver personalized educational content that adapts to each WIT-izen’s unique learning pace and style. This ensures that every learner has the best opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point or background.
We firmly believe that through our efforts, we can help bridge the digital divide and contribute to a more inclusive future for all WITizens. Essentially, we’re using our ‘wit’ to create innovative technological solutions for education.

The Wingspan Innovative Technologies (WIT) vision extends beyond the basic provision of a skill development platform, to cultivating a dynamic learning ecosystem that nurtures the next generation of innovators. WIT aspires to create a cultural shift towards lifelong learning through the seamless integration of timeless values, essential skills, and cutting-edge technology.
Central to the vision, is a set of values geared to fostering a culture that lays the foundation that supports continuous learning. The acronym “CREATE” represents the core values of WIT. Employing these values will place WIT at the forefront of a cultural shift that supports lifelong learning with the aspiration of instilling these values in learners, empowering them to become responsible global citizens and advocates for positive change.

Wingspan Innovative Technologies, aims to achieve its mission by creating and sustaining digital skills repositories using the latest Education Technology (EdTech) solutions to ensure learners receive engaging experiences that are interactive, adaptive, and flexible giving users control of the learning pace. In addition, WIT utilizes an AI driven approach to course creation and delivery ensuring content is current, and contextual, aligned with all values.
Our Approach
“Course creation follows a 6-step process from conception to launch that takes into consideration market trends, and user preferences while aiming to instill our CREATE values into every WIT-izen.”
Our courses are meticulously developed by our Learning Experience Committee (LEC), which is composed of education professionals, IT engineers, and Subject Matter Experts (SME). The process begins with the ideation stage where we brainstorm and establish the concept, relevancy, and requirements for each course. Next, we acquire the resources required for the course, such as actors, expert insight, and other digital tools. After gathering all necessary materials, we design the course structure and layout to ensure it is engaging and effective. The development phase follows, during which we create the course content, including lessons, quizzes, and interactive elements. Our team then tests the course to identify any issues or areas for improvement. Lastly, our Quality Control team conducts thorough checks to ensure the learning experiences are seamless, intuitive, and of high quality. This systematic approach allows us to provide comprehensive, engaging courses tailored to meet the unique learning needs of our students.
