Hello, we are Wingspan Innovative Technologies — also known as WIT.
The abbreviation "WIT" is not just a shortened form of our name. It is also an English word meaning the ability to think creatively and understand things quickly. This reflects our vision of creating a vibrant community that empowers learners, whom we affectionately call "WIT-izens," to explore their interests and gain valuable skills.
Wingspan Innovative Technologies (WIT) is a non-governmental organization in Tanzania recognized by the Institute of Adult Education of the United Republic of Tanzania as an Integrated Post-Primary Secondary Education (IPPE) Learning Centre approved to offer distance learning programs. WIT is registered under number IAE/IPPE/0956 and is committed to expanding access to flexible, inclusive, and technology-enabled learning opportunities that equip learners with practical knowledge and skills for education, work, and everyday life.
Our Mission
"To make high-quality learning accessible to people from all backgrounds and provide equitable opportunities to gain practical skills for today’s world of work."
WIT aims to fulfil its mission by establishing and maintaining digital knowledge repositories using the latest Educational Technology (EdTech) solutions, and by applying an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven approach to course development and delivery so that its content remains current, contextually relevant, and fully aligned with its core values.
Our Vision
"A community where everyone can discover their interests, pursue their passions, and develop valuable knowledge and skills."
WIT’s vision goes beyond providing a skills development platform. It seeks to build a vibrant learning ecosystem that nurtures the next generation of innovators, inspiring a cultural shift toward lifelong learning by seamlessly combining timeless values, essential skills, and modern technology.
Our Approach
"Our course development process involves six stages, from the initial idea through to launch."
Learning Experience Committee (LEC)
Our courses are developed by the Learning Experience Committee (LEC), which brings together experts in education, information and communication technology, and relevant subject matter. The process includes developing the initial concept, identifying resources, designing the course structure, creating the content, and conducting quality testing.
Quality Assurance Team
Our Quality Assurance Team then carries out a thorough review to ensure that every learning experience is accessible, engaging, user-friendly, and of a high standard.
Our Core Values: CREATE
At the heart of our vision is a set of values designed to create a culture that supports continuous learning. The acronym CREATE represents WIT’s core values.
These values guide how we work, build our community, and nurture learners who are prepared for the future.
